I began with hand drawn sketches and was able to pull from these for two rounds of logo iterations. The clients initially expressed their desire for a modern and professional logo that would represent their goal
of empowering children to explore, learn, and grow. With this in mind, I developed three logo options: one
referencing a growing plant, another using a curving script to symbolize the path of discovery, and a third
inspired by building blocks. In the second round, more emphasis was placed on the “the world of discovery”. I explored literal and abstract representations of a spherical and globe shapes, and paired them with a typeface that the client liked from the previous round of logos.

As the client reviewed the second round of logos, the Jak team created options for color palettes inspired by earth tones. When the client chose a few logos that they wanted to see in color, these options were presented and they chose the scheme they preferred. I made some adjustments to the three logos they were leaning towards and also created a letterhead mockup per their request.
The final logo blended the abstract shapes into the half globe and a sunburst was added, symbolizing the bright ideas and futures of the children at the school.
In addition to the logo design, I crafted a letterhead to further solidify the client’s brand identity. I also provided a comprehensive release package for the logo, equipping the client with all the necessary files to seamlessly integrate the new branding into their signage, website, and other marketing materials.
